Thoughts for material used in tactical sheaths. I'm personally partial to kydex and nylon.
 
Personally, I've always had a nylon fetish, ...at least in sheaths

If you don't care for aethetics, nylon has a number of advantages over traditional hand-tooled leather. Synthetics like nylon are light, strong, does not rot, warp or shrink, shakes off water like a duck and need very little maintenance.

The only thing against it is it generally looks cheap and crap - though some of us like them that way
