I am selling a beautiful messenger bag or briefcase. The bag is made of heavy vegetable tanned leather and lined with fine suede. The bag was made by a local saddle/leather working shop. It is designed so the bag can be carried by the handle, on one shoulder, or as a backpack. The two outside straps can be removed and used as belts, leashes, tie-down or whatever else you might need them for. They can also be threaded through the D-Rings on the bottom of the bag to attach a sleeping bag, coat or anything else you didn't want to carry (perhaps a yoga mat). The bag has a false bottom to hide cash, important paperwork, ID, pictures or whatever else you want out of sight. There are two large main pockets and four divider pockets on the inside. There is also one small single pocket on the side or bellow of the bag for a phone etc.

The bag has been riveted in key load bearing areas. The top handle which gets the most use has a layer of thin plastic sandwiched between the outer layer of leather and suede to further help reinforce the bag.

There are some light scratches on the bag that actually give character and are part of the nature of the leather. The stitching was also done by a person so it is not perfectly strait; it is pretty darn close though. The top handle was riveted and stitched, the way the bag was designed the rivets are the load bearing point and the stitching went in front of the rivet is loose. It won't fray any further as it can not be stressed beyond the rivet. I just wanted to point it out although it does not affect the function.

The bag was just cleaned and oiled and will look nothing but better with age.

It is an excellent bag and should last a lifetime.

Asking 325 shipped in the CONUS.

That's one of Dave Munson's bags, over at Saddleback Leather, no? You should definitely link to his site in your thread. There are a few of us who own his stuff over in the Busse subforum. Maybe one of them will come snatch it up.

Is this the 14", 16" or 18"?

For any interested, Saddleback Bags are some of the finest, of not THE finest bags you can buy. Period.
