I don't know whether Vanson makes the best but they are the nicest leathers I've ever had. I have a couple of their jackets, chaps, and a zippered vest. Very thick leather and well made. Check 'em out. Not cheap by any stretch.

Compare the "piecing" of the leather on the FoxCreek photos to the Langlitz and Vanson(best on the east coast, btw).

Langlitz and Vanson use almost a whole hide on their vests, and certainly more than that on jackets.

More pieces=greater chance of stitching "blowout" down the line.
