Leather Sheath for BK2?

Nich: Those are some really neat designs - I especially like the one posted by Flexx. You've got a lot of time into those sheaths.

Dutch 253, I am one of the absolutely ridiculous mods here. I understand the overlap in sub-forum topics. You posted in the Becker forum because you need something for a Becker knife. That's what the forum is for, especially since it is a manufacturer-supported forum.

But Bladeforums itself is supported in large part by paid memberships. One of the consequences of that is any business has to be transacted in the Exchange forums, by members with the correct membership level. Anyone can Want To Buy, but only a Gold or Platinum member can sell. Only a Knifemaker / Craftsman / Service Provider can sell his own work. Allowing buying - selling - trading in the discussion forums makes that very difficult to regulate. And if we don't regulate it, many of those who do pay for memberships will wonder why they bother.

I see no reason to move this discussion, but when you decide to buy, please either contact a sheathmaker offline by email or post a request in Wanted: Knifemaker / Craftsman / Related Services.

Nice to meet you absolutely ridculous mod :D, thanks for at least explaining to me why it is how it is. The mods I was really referring to are the ones who just come crashing down on you and don't explain anything making you feel like a total moron

Update: Got my sheath and its awesome, thanks Skystorm! Entryteam: Saw your message too late, sorry!

Got your sheath already? Wow, that was fast. Also, the mods around here by and large are very cool. Most of them are pretty hands off, and you have to be a pretty big <insert uncomplimentary word here> to have a mod come down on you. What few rules DO get enforced are there for a good reason.

Definitely stick around here. This subforum is one of my favorite places to chat with like-minded folk, and most everyone on here is very generous to boot.

Loving the sheath pics that got put up in here. Good stuff!

shooter mcgavin: I don't think I have gotten an email from you. You can click on my name and send me a pm

For those reading this looking for the same kind of sheath, here's my advice.
A sheath is the only thing protecting your leg from a razor sharp 4-9 inch piece of 1095 Cro-Van steel from going into your leg when you trip. Depending on how long that blade is, where/how you carry it, and how hard you fall, it could either just be a little nick or it could graze an artery if it goes through. It's not a thing to be messed around with. Don't cheap out on sheaths. Get the very best you can afford, whether it be Kydex, nylon/Kydex, or leather.
Also keep in mind that if you buy high quality now and pay the premium for it, you likely will never have to replace it. In the long run, you are saving.
In the words of the Filson company: might as well have the best.
