Leather sheath for Gunting

Yes, that's what I did wrong! Thank you! I actually though about leaving some space extra, but thought it might be too loose... :) The leather can't spring up and the sheath was too tight to begin with. It's loosening up a bit, but not enough for a quick draw.

Oh, well... Live and learn. :)

Thanks for all the info.

Oh, and no, that's just a rivet, not a snap. I did a fixed blade with a snap before, and although it's handy to take on and off, it seemed to unsecure, unless I put more than one snap.

Oh, sorry. I thought my forums profile allowed the email to be seen. My bad... :)

Edited for spelling. Can't type at 10 am. Sad. ;)

Hi, i was on the village last three days, where i have old sewing Singer machine, which is possible sew leather, so ..first attempt - leather sheath for Gunting.
made by s.i.m.o.n.a:))

I find piece of leather, i foment above hot water and i extrude direct at Drone, metal clip i take from old holster of mobile phone,sew-sew ..and after black pickle, polish...and is...
Yesterday i test it at the jeans belt, clip is very strong,no problem, i jump and etc.,Drone inside holster ok, but when you need, is possible fast put out...
I will "debug", when i will try next sheaths ...:)
Who have interest, no problem, ...only metal clip is problem, i have had only one....from old mobile phone holster.
I find home old handbag from crocodile leather, handbag is destroyed /bows/, but leather is perfect, so what you thing about Gunting sheath from crocodile leather ??!! :)

Very creative use of a cellphone pouch! :) Reminds me of a Kydex Gunting sheath by Mike Sastre.

I actually tried something like that, but using an old belt. Unfortunately the leather was thick and already treated, so moulding it to the outline of the Chinook made it crack. And also it wouldn't hold the tooling of any kind...

Still, nice work! :)

I like that a lot. That is more along the lines of what I had in mind. Good work.
