I need to make a sheath for my trail hawk and wanted to get a few ideas so I thought some of you guys could help me out by showing sheaths you use on your hawks/hatchets.

I have recently tried my hand at making a few sheaths for my CCF hawks.
The square front tanish one was my first and the black my second, after some time to see what I liked. All it took was some leather, snap kits, copper rivets and contact cement. It has been a fun learning experience.
I hope to make a nicer one for my damascus bear claw hawk next. I used rawhide strips for hanging them on me.
It is fairly easy to do. Have fun.

You'd have to ask Brian Andrews brother...he made it for me a while back...you can catch him on the Wilderness forum or over at RatChat.

You will need a drill to make the holes in the leather and a hammer to flare the snap piieces together. The snap kit contains a little tool to flare and a little backer to hold the other piece that is used. It is a really easy operation.
You can even get the snap kits at the ole wallyworld.
