Anyone know someplace where i can get some leather for making strop? Living in canada (montreal, quebec to be more exact. TY for your time

some thing around 4 to 6 oz leather, 5/32 to 3/16 thick. and 2 times 3in x 8in

I would've thought finding a leather crafts dealer there should be easy, but my Google searches have only turned up one possible lead in Montreal, a business called 'Federal Leather and Cork'. Might look 'em up and give them a call. Aside from that, I'd also be checking out any hobby/craft stores in your area, or boot/shoe repair businesses, saddle shops, etc. I'd bet the latter two should have lots of scraps on hand that they might let go pretty cheap (maybe even free?).
