I'm a fan - carry it everyday. I have a 1xAAA Maglite in the side pouch.

I am looking for a powerfull LED light to replace the Maglite, so any suggestions would be appriciated.

I have a charge TI and XTI. I had a custom leather sheath (Gary Graley - awesome piece of work) made that holds the bit carrier behind the tool, the tool and then one of these alongside:

The 3 LED version is *very* bright for such a small light - really surprisingly so. On top of that, I am just about sure it will fit in the elastic loops on the TI/XTI nylon sheath.

This is probably about the same size as the maglight, but it would have to be a whole lot brigher - it is kind of an amazing device.

This package, the XTI/TI with the peak led solutions light is a very tidy little package with a TON of capability.

You'll like it. good choice.

The 3 leds are very bright and the beam is somewhat focused. It will fit (should) in the elastic side of the supplied holster.

I had a leather one made for my charge by Gary Graley that holds the bit holder and this light alongside. Wonderful sheath that is hugely useful.

I'm kind of lazy right now - too much so to take a picture.. but it looks just like this:

only with a Charge in it. Same color, same stamping etc... Behind the tool is a place for the bit holder. Works very, very well.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, but the bottle opener on the charge is pretty useless. It's simply the wrong size for grabbing lids, which is kind of disappointing given that every other Leatherman gets this right. Depending on how much beer you drink, this may or may not be an issue...

Very much so , i find you cant open the bottle with the handles closed
I dont think having a combined cap lifter /can opener in one tool is a good idea .The Swiss (Victorinox ) know how to get to their beer in a hurry

I use mine every day. We wear glasses so the small screwdrivers come in very handy. I think it would work well for self defense. The workmanship and quality are excellent. I used a Supertool for 8-10 years before and the Charge is far superior. The 154cm holds an edge very well. I use the scissors to trim my nose hair. Dont laugh until you try.
