Leatherman Charge TTI Problems?

I bought a TTI 3 weeks ago and returned the first for another and they both seem to have problems. The first one the locks wouldn't lock without me manually pushing them into place and even after 3 weeks and I even tries triflow and nothing worked. The second one is really loose when its closed, it has play in it side to side that when I grip it with the knife out the handles wiggle. Another thing is the grind on both S30V blades are horrible.
These may seem like minor problems but when a guy pays 130.00 he expects it to be perfect out of the box and not little flaws. Anyone else have problems with these because I'm wondering if it pays to get another or go a different direction.

There should be no flaws. Contact Leatherman customer service about this and request a trade directly from them, your defective Tti for a new one personally inspected for condition. They will probably do it.

Sometimes I wonder if supposedly new items are actually customer returns repackaged by unethical wholesalers or dealers. May I ask, did your Charges come new in blister pack or cardboard box?

They both came in Blister pack from a midwestern franchise sporting goods store. They exchanged the first one for a new one but the second one did seem used. It was really loose like it was worn in and the handles flexed from side to side when I gripped it, very bothersome. Other than those flaws I love it.

Weird, the handles shouldn't be loose when the Leatherman is new. In fact, often people complain that the handles and tools are a bit hard to open. To me it sounds like your Leatherman is a used one. I had a really old and well used Wave and that one had loose handles too, but again, that one was old and well used.
