Leatherman dates

On the inside handles of my PST the numbers stamped are 0895 and on the other handle 1095 is this the date ie. august 1995 and october 1995 , also is it common the have a different date on each handle .

The inside handles of my SuperTool are stamped 0495 and 0595. I cannot find any date codes inside my original Leatherman tool, which is even older.
 
Mine had same dates till they went in for repair and came back with mixed dates. Hard to figure this one if you bought new knives. If you bought used, well that might be it. Repair under warranty.
