I'm trying to locate a replacement for the Leatherman/multitool I had. It broke in the field and I tossed it.

It is a full size black tool.
Unlike most of the ones I have seen, this one had a button on either side that allowed you to slide the pliers in and out of the Leatherman/Tool.

My Google-Fu has been lacking in locating this model.

It COULD be the Diesel, if there was an earlier model of it.

Thanks.

Yup, as far as I know only the Gerber Multi-plier has a mechanism like that.

Yeah, you guys are probably right. I edited it to /multitool. I think I'm going to have to settle for the diesel. That's about as close as I'm going to find I think.

Better invest your hard earned cash in a Victorinox or Leatherman multitool.
Gerber tools are not in the same league, and i'm being nice.

It's either the OHT (only Leatherman with flip opening) or the Gerber Diesel or Flik
This is my Diesel, does it look like your multitool?

if so, you should contact Gerber for a replacement. They're usually nice and helpful!

I have to agree with this. I had one Gerber multitool and all the screwdrivers chipped with normal use and the wire cutters dented on speaker wire. It was like it was made of tin.
