I have been looking at some multitools for an EDC and this is what I was thinking. Is this a good choice? If not what would be a better choice. And if I get a multitool should I still carry a regular pocket knife?

I just picked up a Juice S2 this week. I haven't had a chance to carry it to work or for daily chores but my first impression is that the blade, screwdriver, scissors, and can/bottle opener is not as well built as the ones on my Victorinox SAKs. In all fairness it is a bit of apples to oranges comparing a multi-plier to a multi-blade but the Juice tools seem a bit awkward in their appearance and deployment. However, the small plier is the big difference maker as I wanted something to help me pull out fish hooks and crimp lead weights. Time will tell how useful the pliers are in daily use.

If you get a Juice I would recomment still carrying a regular knife. The Leatherman blade will suffice but you could do better.

I think the screwdrivers, both flat and phillips, on my Juice KF4 are much better than those on my Victorinox SAKs. The KF4 though is barely okay for pocket carry. It does much better in a pouch. I certainly wouldn't carry it in a pocket everyday. As for the blade, a real knife will do much better.

Sierra Trading Post has the Juice Pro in stock. At $59.95 it's a great deal. It's basically the same as the XE6 but includes tweezers and a foil cutter. I just bought two and they have worked great. It even comes with a Juice leather sheath.
