The Leatherman K500x with the 154CM blade is a great knife. It has a nice size handle, great blade, and a caribeaner/bottle opener. The blade is made of 154CM and is a stout 3.1" long and appears to be .125" thick. This knife has performed excellent and exceeded my expectations. Good price too :D. Found it for under $50.00. Did a bunch of wood work with it today and I can say it was well worth the money. It also has a thick edge which makes it perfect for hard use applications, it's still sharp as ever. Here are the stats from the site.

I couldn’t agree more this is a great knife for the money it is built solid and the blade stays sharp. It is a little larger than I normally like to carry but it is not uncomfortable in the pocket. I own the K500, E502 have given the K502 as a gift and would recommend all of them.

I've had leatherman's 420HC knives and even those are really sharp. I'm happy that the K500 has such a thick edge and that it can hold it for a long amount of time.

I couldn't agree more about the Leatherman 154cm blades.

I've been carrying the Leatherman e304x (154cm, 2,8'') for some time now. The size is excellent and I love the steel. It keeps an excellent edge. The knife itself is really solid.

My next knife will certainly be the k500x (first need to convice the Mrs ;-))

I bought a K502X and 3 K500X knives a few years ago when they first came out. I have occassionally posted here how good they are. I own 300+ knives and these are to very very good heavy work knives. Most people overlook them, but they are a very high quality, excellent working knife.

Oh yeah, I fully agree with you. I searched for leatherman knives on here but nothing came up, I guess it is like what you said, they are overlooked as a great knife. That push out caribeaner clip really impresses the guys :D.
