Leatherman Micra Disection

I saw pics of a leatherman micra that was taken apart and only half of all tools were kept. The owner did away with the scissors and seemed to have selected which tools to hang onto. Any idea on how to open the tools apart from the locking pin?

You might try searching edcforums.com, I know there were some users there who have done this mod and there may be some discussion there on how it was done.

They use locktite on them. Just put a soldering Iron on the top of the fitting for a couple of mins and it just comes undone easy. Actually two multitools grip that assembly the best.

If they did away with the scissors on a micra, what holds the handles together?

Iron Man, the handles are not held together. Half of the tools are removed and the Micra becomes half its original size.
