• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

leatherman micra or schrade tough chip ?

I've only seen the Schrade but I have had a Micra ever since they came out. The Micra and my Spyderco Ladybug are my only knives that go everywhere with me (except the courthouse).

I bought my wife the Micraand she loves it. I applied a little White Lightening and it opens very smoothly and stays shut very tight when closed. Great little tool for the keychain or the office desk drawer.

I neither work for or own stock in Leatherman but few things in life work as well as Leatherman products. IMHO.

I got my wife the Micra and she found it pretty inconvenient. She primarily needed a quick access knife on her keychain for opening boxes. It was inconvent to get to the knife on the Micra. She switched to a small SAK instead.

What I really like is my M4 Sebertool. All 6 small blades are easy to get to without opening the tool or removing it from my key chain. It unfolds into a nice pair of plyers instead of scissors. I mostly use a knife in places other people use scissors. If I wanted scissors I'd get a small SAK.

I have no experience with the Shrade but am very happy with my LM micra, handles many tasks, small enough that you don;t know it's there until you need it. It is also my daughter's favorite for art and craft projects, fits her pretty little hands perfectly.
Be safe,
Chad
