Leatherman or SAK?

I love my surge, I use it for work everyday. I work in demolitions and it will definitely hold up to anything you can throw at it. Plus add Leathermans 25 year, no questions asked warranty, and you got yourself a winner

A Vic Tinker was my only EDC for over 12 years so SAK's have a special place in my heart. I have also carried a Vic Spartan Lite the last year and a half and loved it. Yet as others have said, those pliers on the leatherman come in soooo handy. I also own a Wave and a Juice CS4. The Juice sits within arms reach at my desk with the Wave not too far off. So to me I really couldnt say which is better. Both company's products have served me well in countless situations.

I suppose I would say for school and urban EDC SAK's are perfect. For anything else I would always want my Wave and/or Juice with me.

My dad carried a PST on the farm for many years (not sure what he's carrying now since they've been discontinued) But here's the thing, he does have a tendency to kill them (well, he can kill any tool he puts his mind to, I think he has his own file with the Snap-On warranty dept.) I carried a Pulse, (but I don't have the grip strength to break tools) The leatherman does not replace a proper pair of pliers, proper saw, proper knife. But it is good enough to get a quick repair done, or get you by until you get back to the shop. I would go for the Leatherman more than the SAK for farm work for sure though.
