Leatherman Sheaths/Pouches Leather or Nylon

Just as an update. I got my Maxpedtion Single sheath in the mail and carried it for the last part of last week. It works great. Plenty of velcro and very secure. I do prefer a snap closure and it's tough squeezing my little iTP light in there. Hopefully that will get easier in time. If this holds up I think it will do nicely.
 
I love my leatherman hate the case, it feels cheap to me. Thin leather, poor stitching, loop is in the middle when I like it to hang a bit.
 
thanks for the opinion mate! I'll have to look at mine and where it rides to compare to your opinion.
 
My sheath just came in and i must say i totally see where jimwalter is coming from. my expectations were to see a supple leather sheath, like a softer brown leather. still like it and staying true to my statement of preference of leather to nylon. just expected the quality to be higher. but hey, for 7 bucks including shipping im damn well pleased.

Same here. The factory sheaths are cheap and wear quickly. So, I made my own from 6 oz leather. Its about 10 years old now, the Supertool is one of the first years production. Carried every day of the week at work since it was new and has been through hurricanes, blizzards, floods and all manner of abuse.

THAT is one awesome sheath. Exactly what I need for work as I also carry a very small flashlight. Excellent work!!!
 
very cool sheath! Is the loop for a firesteel or a flashlight?
One day I'll bite the bullet and buy a side of leather.
I'm pretty mean to my leatherman wave (it just recently went into my tool belt).
I need another one to go into my SOG case!
 
amazing sheath!! looks great and quality seems great! only thing i dont like is that thickness of the leather seems a bit much but thats my opinion. overall great job!
 
The best nylon multi tool sheath I have found is the maxpedition single sheath. It's not to expensive but it is absolutely bullet proof
