I had the tip of the small screw driver on my Supertool 200 twist off while adjusting a small set screw on my rifle scope a couple of weeks ago.
I had thought about just filing it down and reshaping it but was leaving on a business trip and thought what the heck - let's try out their service department.
Well, I sent the Supertool as they requested on their web page along with a note describing the problem. It was picked up by Fedex ground service on Thursday October 16th in Ohio.
Today I recieved a package from Leatherman via UPS Ground and it was a brand new Supertool
So if you do the math that's 3-4 days to Leatherman in Oregon which means they got it about Wednesday the 22nd, 3-4 days back from Oregon to Ohio means they shipped it back to within 24-48 hours of recieving it.
I've always maintained that I like the function of my Victorinox's better, but the service from LM is really hard to beat.
I had used my ST 200 quite extensively but nothing major was wrong except the screw driver, it was very nice of them to replace the entire tool and to do it so quickly.
Although I will always have a couple of Swisstool's I can guarantee you I will always have some Leatherman's as well. (currently 2 of each.... well, not counting the Micra
