Internet coupon mania strikes again

This is a tiny bit complicated, but stay with me. First you have to join mercata.com and get $50 "bonus dollars"

You can use these "bonus dollars" to pay for up to half of an item. Luckily for us, they're selling the leatherman wave for $65,

They also have the PST and the SOG Crosscut. I've never dealt with them before, but they seem to have a good reputation

Do you realize you can sell one of them for $59, giving you a $26 profit. In which case it's the equivalent of buying one at $7?

A Leatherman Wave for $7! You can't beat that. It's better than the Micra deal

The price is now down to 55.71$ before the coupon so the price on two is 61.42$ or ~27.86$ for one after the coupon.

The group buying power does make this quite interesting

Yeah, thanks a lot JThomas! ordered two; one for my Dad for B-day, and one for me even though i have a smaller Leatherman. both for 60.00 (they have to charge sales tax here in Pa.). but still an awesome bargain!
 
I received a notice this morning that the final "Powerbuy" price was $52.36 each. Since I purchased 2 Waves, this came to $104.72. Subtracting the free $50 in Mercata Dollars leaves me paying just $54.72 TOTAL for TWO Leatherman Waves!$!$!$

This is especially nice since I was about to order ONE Leatherman Wave for $58 plus shipping.

My wave was waiting for me when I was home yesterday, i'm pretty happy with it, mostly.

the handles are a little loose in the front/back direction. dunno if this is normal.
