Leatherman Wave Knife liner lock problems ??

Hey Guys...

Have a friend who's liner lock blew out on him on his knife blade ..It actually hyper-extends past the lock...

Anyone experience this ???

Should be covered under warranty Eh ??

I had a lock bust about two years ago. I sent it back to them and they sent me a brand new one. Total turn around time was around two weeks.
