Thank you, LEGION 12 for pointing out the redundancy of this thread. I would have deleted it, but I see I don't have that privilege. So, please ignore and forgive this relative noob for posting a subject that has seen more than its share of miles.

I'm sure this has been covered more than once, but I'll resurrect it anyway. There aren't any rules about taking the price down after selling your knife but it's almost a universal practice on the Knife Exchange. I get the whole "let the market decide" concept, but when I see a guy buy a knife and four days later he puts it up on the Exchange for more, it kind of bugs me.

It's really none of my business if I was paid my asking price and someone wants to flip it. I may have a false perspective on the "spirit" of the Forums as a "community" rather than a marketplace. At any rate, I've decided to make it a personal practice to leave my asking price up on the thread after I sell so others can get an idea of pricing if they care to search. $OLD!

You do have the option of locking/closing the thread so nobody can respond.

Anyways, this practice can be frustrating at times, but not altogether unreasonable. There are pros and cons for doing it. Don't let it bother you that much. If you're that concerned with pricing, monitor the exchange more frequently and look at prices before the knife is sold. You will find a general number a given knife will hover around.
