LED conversion for Mag-Lite

I have one from the factory made LED's and it's a great flashlight for all sort of outdoor activities :)

I found a TerraLux conversion for the 2 AA cell mini-mag on Ebay a while back it has 140 lumens output. This thing lights up the houses across the street. I like it more every time I use it. I cant remember the cost, but it seems to me it was like 20 bucks well worth it. Doug

I put one of the three LED kits in a minimag that I had lying around, mainly out of curiosity. I figured my wife could use it when walking the dogs while camping. It is a very floody beam with not much throw. Actually perfect for the dog walking. If you want to learn more than anyone ever really needs to know about flashlights give your wallet and credit cards to a trusted friend and go to Candlepowerforums.com.

However the nite Ize with its slow flash from the tailcap is good if you want something to be able to find in the dark

I guess that is what I upgraded my mini with. The end cap blinking lets me know it still on and I'm happy with the change. Always looking for something better so now I know of some other choices.

Question...whats the "most bang for the buck" recommendations for a 3 D cell mag lite? I checked some of the links and the AA battery packs, heat sinks and all just plain confused me.

Is there a pop in conversion that any of you can recommend?
