Lee Reeves Nessmuck Hatchet with Osage Orange haft. One side is a wider angle blade and the other is a finer angle. This Nessie has been used, but not abused. There is shallow scuffing on the high point of the center, and some along the edge of the bevel. It is still sharp, and has not been sharpened. The sheath has Bink's leather preservative applied, so there is some uneven color due solely to the leather preservative. If you want a museum piece, this one is not for you, please do not buy it. It has been lightly used, not abused, and shows light usage marks. If you want one of the iconic pieces of a modern master and will actually give it the love and use it wants, then this is the one for you.
Mr. Reeves has retired and is no longer making these. It is very neat piece with amazing balance, but a big chopper is more my speed, so this has just been sitting in the safe.
