Just got in my Leek 1660G10. Cool knife. My first decent knife years ago was a Leek. I used that thing up. When I went to find a replacement is when I discovered BladeForums and the world of knife collecting. So I have a soft spot for Leeks. I've been switching back and forth from a Desert Leek and a Cryo for my secondary knife. My ZT 0200 as my primary. I was fully expecting this Leek to pretty much be my new permanent carry and after one day I think it will be. I'm going to have to pick up a second one for my mint Leek collection. Anyone else pick one of these up? Thoughts? Do we know numbers on these? Are they limited? I don't know much about them.

I believe they were recently discontinued, but they were a regular production model for a while. Mine has a date stamp of Jan 06.

Shame, thats hands down my favorite user leek. Great blade steel, thickest handles, lightest weight, Great G10 texture... essentially flawless.
I love mine. They'll be easy to find for a long time.

I think it is the perfect small tasks EDC. I like that the G10 on this one is so much rougher than my other knives with G10. Very important for getting a good grip on such a tiny knife. I didn't realize that it's discontinued; how sad.

My biggest complaint with the Leek is the thin handle. I've read the aluminum handles are a bit thicker but I have yet to pick one up. For now I will have to contend with the g-10 as the favorite leek :) although the cb aint too shabby

G10 Leek was my EDC for years. That one is a little beat up. As soon as I found out it was discontinued I grabbed another. Great steel, great handles- damn shame it's going away. If you want a limited production one keep an eye out for the 1660PGT. Polished G10 scales and polished S30V blade. Not as high traction buty pretty sexy.

It's my favorite Leek as well. The steel handled Leek's are just a bit too slippery in my hand.

I swapped my Random Leek blade and put it on my g-10 Leek body. I love it, very smooth.

That's not true in my experience. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but every Leek that I've ever held ( with a metal handle ) was thinner than the G-10 leek. G-10 handle should be your thickest handled Leek.

Granted, there are many Leek variants, so I could easily be wrong about that.

Yeah, thats what I think too. The g10 is much thicker. I noticed it immediately.

I really like that polished one. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one.

Let me clarify by saying of the current production models, the steel handle is too thin for my tastes (even though I carry one quite frequently). The aluminum is a bit thicker than the steel (from what I have been told here on the forum). Yes, the g-10 is by far the thickest of the bunch. I'm sad that I only have one g-10 :(

Always love the 1660TGRY model, hard to come by though. Now a frankenleek I would like to see/have is a 1660G10TGRY

The one that you are thinking of is the 1660TGRYST and they are on the bay all the time still.

I stand corrected. I was mistaken on the model number although I am after a non-serrated Random Leek. After a quick search I found Random Leeks with the following model numbers: 1660T, and 1660TSW. Then slap on a set of the G-10 scales, that would be sweet
