Leeson controller

Anybody hook up a Leeson speed controller? I bought a Speedmaster for the VFD for my grinder. I am no expert but for the power in it says L1 L2N then there is another terminal marked PE. Is this the neutral? For 1 phase 120v I have the two power and the ground. The instructions are not very clear on this and I dont want to blow anything up.
