I have been looking for a small left handed sebenza insigno and have come up short. I currently carry a mini griptilian with sheepsfoot blade and awt scales. I love the size of the knife blade and handle. That's what makes me really interested in the small sebenza. So here is my question? What compares to the small sebenza insigno out there for a lefty?

Is there a custom maker that makes left hand specific knives similar to the sebenza. $350.00 is my max on price but if I pay that much I want what I want because that really hits hard in terms of money for me.

It has to be left hand left pocket carry, I have a zt0450 but I just don't like it, my pm2 is two big, my mini grip is just right but I want something a step up. Any help would be nice

Since you like the MiniGrip, you should consider a Ritter MiniGrip and swap the scales from your current one or get a new set for it.

I have thought about the Ritter grip but just wanna make sure if I step up I really step up looking for a lifelong deal and I don't want to buy a knife and scales to me it makes no sense to buy and put on new scales i have done that twice, not my thing I just wanna buy it already to go if I could buy a mini grip with good scales I may try it. It just doesn't make since to buy a knife for 100+ dollars and have to change the scales. No offense just don't make sense to me anymore

I have a mini doug Ritter griptilian and a small insingo and they are both good knives
I think they are quite comparable in size
The doug Ritter blade shape is very good at EDC tasks and comes with m390 steel
The small insingo has a functional blade shape too and feels very rigid in hand with no blade play

The main difference will be the lock mechanism ... choose the one you prefer on that point

However on the quality standards they are not in the same league but the DR mini grip is IMHO the best hit for the value, but the strong and rigid feeling of the insingo make me enjoy it better

What about the newer mini grips with the hole opener and g-10 scales? Upgraded scales and steel (CPM 20 CV) with ambidextrous opening and axis lock...

Maybe a Benchmade 707 Sequel? Decent knife, lefty friendly, size compares favourably to a Small Seb...

Good luck, OP! :)

Knifeart has one in w/ micarta inlays. Id recommend patients. One will show up soon enough.

Doug Ritter used the Sebenza blade shape and steel as inspiration for his Griptilian. They have that in common. The Ritter Grip is a beautiful knife. I got one with Kevin Wilkins scales. But it isn't a Sebenza and certainly isn't an Insingo. Go for the best you can get.
