Talked to Heather at CRK this morning and she said the left hand Umnums will be ready by the end of this month! Yee haw!:cool::D

I am interested to hear your opinion of the Umnum Scott! Congrats!

Thanks all. I'm really thrilled. I have handled a right hand model but it's just not the same. I've been so jealous of all the "righties" that have gotten theirs and its great to think I'll be getting one in a couple weeks. I will keep you all posted. I have high expectations for this knife. I will EDC it and it will take the place of my much beloved large Micarta inlay.:D:thumbup:;)

I finished your blade today :D. It'll probably be fitted to its handle in the morning, get sharpened, cleaned and go out early next week. hope you like it :).

See now that is a company that shows its love!

Scott Dog has probably had to endure one of the longest months ever (ironically the shortest of the year) thinking about finally holding his lefty Umnum.

Then, nifegrinder to the rescue, letting him know where it is in it's infancy.

Its just another reason that for me at least (and this will be corny) :

"Once you go Reeve, You'll never leave!"

(I swear it just came to me, I havent been sitting here for hours trying to come up with the perfect slogan......:D:D:D)

Wow!!! I'm so jazzed!!!! This is sooo cool!:D:cool: I've been waiting for this knife even since before the Inouyi was announced! When CRK said they were coming out with a new folder, before blade of last year, I called and said put me on the list for a left hand model. This is going to be one long week. One of the reasons that I no longer buy any other brand of knives is that will make left hand models and as far as I know no other production company does that. Of course I don't really consider CRK to be a "production company". The job done on my 2008 LE is amazing. Thanks knifemaker. I'll call Heather today after my wife goes to work and make payment arrangements. This is really good news!:D;):eek::eek::eek:

With any luck, I'll have one by tomorrow. :) I'm planning on making a deep pocket carry clip for it. Scott, please post some pics so I can drool while waiting for mine. :d

LOL that looks just like mine! Great knife! First impressions: Very smooth opening right out of the box. Easy to open with my left hand, no learning curve there, it opens with the same upward sweep that I am used to with my sebbies. Closing the knife is a little different and will require a little getting used to as I am used to opening the classic with its cutout. It sits in my pocket very similar to the large Micarta and draws quickly and easily and goes from closed in my pocket to open in my hand with no effort. The swedge is not as sharp as I was afraid it would be and that is a good thing. The blade is sharper out of the box than anything that I have gotten from CRK, I mean it is wicked sharp!:D First impression after handling it for about ten minutes, great job, I'm very happy and my poor micarta inlay will be back in the drawer for a while. My wife has dinner ready and is ragging on me so I better sign out. I will post pictures in the morning along with any further observations. My only concern now is to order another one for backup!:thumbup::):D;):D
