Left hand Umnum!

OK after a little more handling, it seems that closing the Umnum with the pad of the thumb just isn't going to do it. I'm having better luck and a lot less pain closing it with my thumbnail. The slot on the inside of the lockbar seems to me more like a nail nick that you find on a slipjoint. It works for me.

The more I handle this knife the more I like it. The closing takes a little getting used to but other than that I am one happy camper. I'm seriously thinking about getting another for a backup. Have any of you found the blade to be insanely sharp or did I just get a good one? This knife feels great in the hand! IMHO CRK hit a big time home run with this folder.:thumbup::p:D

Definitely insanely sharp. The sharpest knife I ever had out of the box, though, was a Sebenza that could slice free hanging toilet paper cleanly in half. :D

CONGRATS on the lefty Umnumzaan. I am happy that you have your baby now!!

Biggerjon:

Attempting to disengage the lock bar of the Umnum with the pad (or skin part) of the thumb in the same manner as with the Sebenza is indeed very painful. The Umnum has on the inside of the lock bar a nail nick. By disengaging the lock of the Umnum with the thumbnail and not the pad is totally painless and with a little practice it becomes second nature. I've had my Umnum for two days now and I can open and close it with no problems whatsoever. Just press down with the thumb nail and no pain!:);)

Awesome Scott.. Thanks for the Pics. YOU MADE ME TAKE THE PLUNGE!
