The only things that make a blade left or right handed are the pocket clip and the opening system.
The thumbstud could be on the wrong side with no space to move it or an unmovable pocketclip. In both cases I notice some hinder in useing it. The lock doesn't even come into play. I can operate any lock as well with my left hand as most righthanded users.
