Left the house without a blade...

...it is not something I am proud of, but with the warmth I feel in this forum I know I can be honest..Yes I too have left home without a knife, I was young, so young though, I *sob* just did not know..

*sniffle*, it has been 10 years now, since I last trangressed and I feel like I have it beat.., with the help of my knife buddy I have worked though the guilt, and can only hope any others out there will take that step and call 1-800-SHRP
please call today

Haver left home once or twice with only my SAK Classic. I have kept a SAK Soldier in the brief case for the past several years and now have a Spydie in the glove box. I have carried SAK's while flying (domestic only) with no problems.

I keep a SAK in both cars just for such emergencies. I would also suggest a Spydercard for your wallet.

IF I were to forget a knife on the way to a long trip, there's no way I'd turn around. I just pop into the nearest store and buy a new one, although It would probably have to be a Wal-Mart or Kmart model (probably a Gerber or a Buck)

I typically carry a defensive folder (Sifu, Commander, or Boa), a smaller and "friendlier" knife (Sebenza, Lum Chinese Folder, or my pick-of-the-day), a neck knife (La Griffe), and a multi-tool (Gerber Legend or Victorinox SwissTool X).

Even if I somehow managed to forget everything else, I can always count on having at least two blades with me. The SpyderCard in my wallet and the Ladybug on my keychain.

well, the other morning I was a few minutes late for work because I turned around and drove back home because I forgot my new Lightfoot Suppressor. I did not like the thought of not having it with me all day!

hard,so carry a good knife"

Has anyone else noticed that everytime you forget your knife is the very time you need it to cut something?

I can sometimes go an entire 24 hour period without having to cut something (I get withdrawls), but if I forget my Spydie I usually need it.

“Pick-of-the-day” - I like this verbalization!

Great topic!

I unfortunately have to deal with this problem almost every day that I have clinicals or have to work at the hospital. I don't have anyway to carry a knife in my scrubs plus it is against hospital policy. It is very sad. Otherwise, to avoid the prob of forgetting an EDC. I keep one in my car. It is now my SAK Soldier.
See you all around,
Matt

I keep a commander, lefty native and a spare v-gar in the car just incase I leave the house light.
