I used to sell a lot of wood to custom guitar builders. Seems like about a year ago I lost interest. I still take requests from my regular customers but don't do anything to market the wood anymore. My boss would tell you it is because I have become obsessed with custom knives. He's right.
These bookmatched sets were set aside in my workshop and forgotten about a year ago. They were not treated kindly but are still in good shape. Some of the sets will have a slight bow or some checks. The photos are crummy too. I did not want to wet the wood so the photos show the wood dry and you only get a hint of the grain and figure. The spalted woods and redwood are soft woods that will require use of a wood hardener or stabilizing if used for knife handles.
