Lefty Carry for Right-Handed Framelock?

Hey guys... I'm probably overthinking this but...

I'm looking at a few Sebbies right now, or maybe a ZT. However, there is still a glaring issue in my head- I am left handed, and am sort of worried that I will end up squeezing the life out of a framelock knife because my fingers would be resting on the lock bar. Right now I only have experience with liner locks and Axis locks. Even though the liner is on the "wrong" side, the feeling of a solid scale eases any fear I have of bending the liner with my fingers, but the scale isn't there with a framelock. Do any of you guys think that there is any danger posed to the lock bar by left hand carrying?

Thanks.

A framelock works fine for us wrong handed folks. Other than the fact that it looks like crap in your hand. Due to the fact that the "pretty" show scale is completely obscured. However, unlike most ZT models, the clip on a Sebenza is not reversible

Great news though. CRK makes a lefty version of just about all their models (not sure about the Inkosi) at the same prices as their righty knives. One of the few (only?)knife companies that does this for us lefties.

Hmmm, I really do need to pick up a Sebbie one of these days....

I am a lefty. You wont damage a righty frame lock. But once you get a lefty frame lock by Chris Reeve, in my opinion there is no going back.

ZT has clip hole taps for both handed carry. I would think that's so the spine of the blade can be held securely if you're carrying with the clip. You just have to learn to position your thumb below the lock bar when it's being opened.
Being left handed, you won't have a problem with any frame lock that is RH. You'll learn how to close a RH frame lock with your left hand in due time. The only issues I've ever had, is liner lock knives. Sometimes it's nearly impossible for me to disengage the liner lock with my left hand only.

The LH CRK's will absolutely ruin you. I've got mostly LH CRK's with a few RH models that I'm slowly phasing out. With my RH CRK's, they're double lugs and the cut out on the lock bar isn't as pronounced and makes it a challenge to open them. I've had a few RH Sebenza's that were broke in and very smooth for a lefty. But, those were hit and miss.

Since most brands don't offer left handed models nor taps for LH carry, I've grown accustomed to pocket carry instead of clip carry.
And yes, you're overthinking it.

Another lefty here.

Can I work pretty much any lock with either hand? Yes.

Do I prefer to use right hand liner and frame locks? No, not at all.

Similar to what Ajack60 said about the LH CRKs, I got a LH Military a few years ago when they went on closeout and it completely ruined all RH frame and liner locks for me. About the only RH lock exception I make these days is for the compression lock on my Para2s.

I don't want to be a whiner about the lack of more LH specific models, it is what it is and I understand why it's problematic for most manufacturers to make them, but it crosses a hell of a lot of knives I might otherwise be interested in off my list. Guess it's good for my wallet
