Lefty Forum

they make beautiful knives, but they ain't cheap and if you have to modify them, it would probable mean trimming the liner. might be accomplished, but if you want a classy alternative that's affordable, check out my CRKT-Tighe Tac (lefty of course) it's got etching on both sides of the blade and looks and feels way more expensive than it is.

i'll be happy to email a picture:

I just stumbled onto this thread. Hope Spark is still considering. Get this back up there:)

We're almost halfway there. CALLING all southpaws! By the way, center cross makes some VERY nice leftie friendly knives at some nice prices indeed. Check it out a www.centercross.com!:)

Would it be tactful to put up a thread about this in a higher traffic forum? If this was in General, I'm pretty confident we would've gotten 40 by now.

Yes! Let's have a lefty forum. I'm sick of eMailing the marketing departments of knife companies with suggestions on simple stuff to make their products more "lefty friendly" only to be told that we don't represent enough market share for them to do so. Uniting our voices will have an impact; forum members are the ones that buy all their knives, not the folks that buy one knife in their lifetime.

i'm a lefty and it sucks when i really like a knife and its right handed only, i mean sure a lot of production knives have ambi thumbstuds or holes but they are forgetting one thing, the damn clip! what good is a ambi hold is the clip is for right handers only?

the fact that most production makers don't feel it is good business practice to re-tool for lefties was my motivation for starting my own "lefty" factory in my basement. i have had lots of fun making 'righty's into leftys.

Just found this thread today, add my name to the list of those who would like to see a lefty forum.

Dang...There's more of us evil "leftys" than I thought there would be!.:D.

I suggested a Left Handed Forum years ago.

Spark (who is Left Handed) said no; there wouldn't be enough interest.

I started a Left Handed Forum on Knifeforums.com and it has fizzled out like Spark said.

Born left, forced right through school, just got left back in the last 5-6yrs of working at it. Fully Ambi.

I'm in for it.

Count me in. Maybe it won't have tons of traffic, but that does not render it less useful. Actually, I hope it would be considerate of bandwidth and NOT have 50 posts per day on BM Axis locks as if they were just discovered. I continually test the limits of Google to find ANYTHING on the web about left-handed folding knives. Left-handed collectors actually have a more interesting hobby than the righties have. Righties can find anything they want and can afford. A lefty collector of decent means can even be limited by the rate at which he can find desirable knives. - Lee

I'd like to see one here. The one on KnifeForums is too slow, but KF only has, what?, half the members that Bladeforums has. I think it would move okay here. I've joked that the only reason I have a right hand is so I don't walk lopsided;)

I think its safe to say a Lefty forum would get more traffic than the Tinives forum.
