Ok, there will be production lefty military models available in the not too distant future. There will also be a para military II, based on all the feedback that Spyderco has gotten on the current pm model, nasty edges and clip fized and other changes as well. This knife isn't gonna make it out until 2010 according to somone very well placed in the Spyderco organization, who it was a great pleasure to meet and chat with, but its coming! There is also a new handle material that Spyderco is playing with. It feels like g10 with a velvet finish, its awesome stuff and apparently avialble in a denim blue.
So us para guys gotta wait a bit longer for our new model but ya now its gonna be worth it.
oh and the ti-mili was pretty neat too.

IIRC, the edge of the tang has been fixed, the clip is 4-way but still the solid metal clip, not a wire clip, and there are some varying possibilities for handle materials & blade steel. I think the lock will still be a comp lock, but if anyone heard any different, please correct me.

Also... for all the "I don't like the blade/handle ratio" folks...

...the new Para is supposed to have a slightly longer blade to better balance the knife :D.

That sounds promising. I've been putting off buying a Paramilitary in hopes that the tang would be changed a bit, but I was worried that it would end up with a wire clip.

So I guess I can buy one of the new ones whenever they appear without having to settle for a pocket clip that I don't like.

Will the current Para still be available with Orange G-10 later this year? Or is that just rumor? I love the Para and only a low-ride clip would make it better IMO.
