"Leftys are only 2% of the folder-buying population"

Most lefties are forced into a right handed world for the most part........Nuns beat it into my hand..Didn't take!😜
There are makers who do make left hand models.....

I write left handed and eat left handed but everything else is all right handed. So there that to through into the equation.

Me too with one additional left hand dominate thing…. While I carry my knife on the right (pocket or hip) and deploy them with my right hand, I mostly use the knife with my left hand for hard or detailed use. The exception is eating (like you) where I use the knife with my right hand to cut steak. Everything else associated with eating like cutting bread or spreading butter/jelly I’m back to using my left hand with the knife. I’m an odd duck. 😂

I would like all the stuff in creation that has been made for right handers to suddenly transform into a left-handed version of that item for one day and listen to the cries of their children and lamentation of their women (or men, or whatever).

I long ago learned how to adapt: when there was mainly single thumb lugs in the 90s i used my left hand middle finger to open knives like the Benchmade spike crawford brend .Many spydercos at the time were lefty friendly like the endura i carried those alot back then.Obviously now most knives have double lugs or a flipper and ive always left the pocket clip on the right side never switched it im so used to it that way i like it there better.

I write & shoot firearms left handed. I do everything else right handed.

Started shooting right handed & was shitty at it until I discovered that I was also left eye dominant & shot better shooting left handed.

I always carry & use knives, flashlights, handcuffs, baton & other backup weapons/equipment on my right side, which makes perfect sense for a left handed shooter.

I've tried doing things like throwing a ball, casting a fishing rod, bowling, shooting a basketball & swinging a baseball bat left handed.

I'm obviously not as good doing those things left handed but I think that's mainly due to the lack of practice, rather than an innate inability to do so.

But, unlike shooting, there wasn't any evidence that I'd do those things any better by switching. So, I never bothered trying to learn how to do those things left instead of right handed.

The same applies to writing which I've tried to do right handed but there was no reason ot need to switch.

So, I never did. 🤷

I don’t ask for left handed versions so much as wish they would make more things “no-handed”. Can’t be done all the time, but many times it could, they just don’t bother and that can be frustrating. Saves me money though.

. As many have already said, most lefty’s learn to use both hands out of necessity and frankly more righty’s should do the same. Being able to switch sides in odd situations is a big plus imo.

There are lots of manufacturers who consider up portsiders:
Chtis Reeve
Hinderer
Shirogorov
Olamic
Spyderco
Axis locks (and their copies) are ambitious
Another left handed friendly brand is Benchmade, my Mini Bugout is remarkably easy to open and close left handed. My biggest issue are frame locks, almost impossible to close left handed.

When reviewing a frame lock, some YT guys will ding it if it doesn't have a reversible pocket clip. If I were left handed and bought a right handed frame lock that did have a reversible clip, I don't think I would want to mess up the show side with the clip.

It's why the only Spartan Harsey Folders I've owned are plain or solid DLC. My CRKs are lefty.
