Legal carry prototype

Can I just put my request in now for a drop point O1 with black glow scales? :D

OK... I have had a bunch of emails on this one so here is some more information! :D

The first run will be

$120 - that includes a kydex sheath and shipping

1/8" (.125") O1 high carbon tool steel - roughly 7.5" long and 1.25" tall with a 3" blade

Handle options - most G10 or micarta will be covered under the $120 price

Tek lok ($10) or belt loop ($5) extra, lanyard or necker cord is free

I have a bit of a wait, I have a ton of orders to do but the sooner you order the sooner you get one!

You know it! Send me an email if you want one, I have a little bit of glow left before i need to make more. :D

Layered bi-color G10?

Bring it!
I'm thinking layered black/grey G10 on this one with flared tube rivets.

Dan,
Thanks for saying so! I think it's a sharp looking piece. (Did I say that?)

:D I have the G10!

I'm not sure on the wait but it won't be too long. I have lots of orders to do but I'm getting faster, this run will go quickly I bet.

Order sent via email:D (Now let's talk wakichete!)

Dan once I get my money right would a 3/16 thick version be possible? Thick clip point like on the bigcountry survival knife? With a convex edge and MCAM so I would have a matched pair. Then I would have to figure out how to attach the two sheaths together. There would be nothing I could not accomplish with that pair! Just have to get all this disability retirement BS rolling in before I can commit to anything. Thanks brother!

Glue-Up

I use West System G-Flex for glue up, it is the best epoxy I know of. All surfaces are roughened with 60-100 grit paper and cleaned thoroughly with soap and water than acetone before glue up. I glue up one side then flip it over and fill the holes in the knife with epoxy and coat the tubes as well, this application works like a rivet and is nearly indestructible.

After that on these I will grind flush, chamfer and deburr the tubes before flaring them into place, this makes the handle to scales bond even stronger. The tubes match the angle of the countersink, 82 degrees so they really add to the bond.

This looks great! What do the black glow scales look like?
Thanks! They are a black medium with green glow, handmade by me... funky grippy and lots of fun.

I could do something like that.

The way I make my sheaths makes them adaptable to piggybacking them in most cases, I bet I could make a nice stackable Kydex sheath.

Wow, you hit a home run with that!! Love the polish on the flats! You're making it VERY difficult not to order one....or maybe 2!
