Is there such a thing as a legal(for me this means a/o ok but not full auto) and less costly knife which is still good quality and is something similar to these two? I did have a CS TiLite in the past. Want a 3.5 inch or little longer blade but not more than 4 inches.
All ideas appreciated.

I don't believe there's any such thing as a non auto OTF... how would it work?

And isn't a ProTech Godson a standard side opening auto style? I don't see the similarity between the two... so I'm not sure which knife you want a similar model to.

I think Smith & Wesson made an assisted opening otf, but made in China (I assume)so not sure about the quality.

b a/o but not full auto what do u exactly mean?

EDIT u want a otf but legal knife?

I meant something that would come out from the side if there is such a thing. My CS TiLite did come out the "side" for lack of correct terms. The main reason I didn't keep my TiLite is I wanted something different in scale material than the Zytel it came with.

Sorry about that. I should have given more thought to how I worded this but was rushing since I posted from my phone. I just like the stilleto shape, but no OTF blade in my area would be legal for me to carry. The Cold Steel was ok for me since it was not considered a "full auto 'switchblade'".

So you want a side opening assisted knife? That would be most Kershaw folders,a lot of Benchmades, and quite a few other knives.

I gotcha, finding that stilleto shape is hard these days. Wider tactical style blades are the trend right now.

470 maybe? It's a littler cheaper than the godson, but not by too much.

the 470 and 530 look good. That is the look I am after, but just a little longer blade. I see what you mean about the same look as the CS TiLite not having a lot of choices these days. Doesn't have to be A/O either, now that I give it more thought.

how about kershaw ripcord? its a otf but not auto it opens with the sheath or belt clip and it opens when u slid it out, havent owned 1 so i cant speak on durability even tho iv heard it is my cousin got 1 for xmas though and it felt pretty nice to hold, he uses for maintenance, dispite the fact the coating on the blade wore off a bit. its worth giving it a look

The old Benchmade 1000 Spike sounds like what you are looking for. They're not readily available, but you can probably find one with some searching.

Not an auto or assisted but a Benchmade Sentinel... They are out there and can be had pretty cheap used on ebay.

Godfather/godson in a/o would be awesome I have a godfather but cannot carry it here in MN :(. I agree with the OP the stilletto styling is very sleek and stylish!
