Thanks Rusty.
I see the Leopard got skinned, the B'ar was skinned and eaten.I imagine the Gator was skinned, but I wonder if it was eaten.?

Many, many years ago in south Tejas down in the "Valley" we ate pretty good.A bunch of grownups(?) would get in one guys panel truck and we would go raid the truck farms, citrus groves and the like.
I always had to wait in the truck or car.
I can remember that someone would always bring a fresh loaf of bread
and we would enjoy green onion "hot dogs."
I think we were only shot at once, but it was because too many people had been raiding one guys orange grove.

My old man and one of his friends ran a trot line down by a lake or the ocean or somethng, can't remember for sure.
They caught a big gator in there one time and I think it was a protected area.Anyway I was told it was alligator gar.Kinda strange, because they are a round fish and I an still remeber momma cuttin off slices of meat off of a slab of meat that was about a foot wide and 4" thick. She fried that stuff up golden brown and it was wonderful eatin.
I know damned well it was Gator!
Nobody oughta ever lie to kids.
