Hogue Deka Magnacut with RC Bladeworks blue canvas micarta scales
I’m the original owner of this Hogue Deka Magnacut. I bought it a few months ago and liked the knife, but not so much the plastic scales, so I ordered some blue canvas micarta scales from RC Bladeworks. After a LONG wait, I finally got the scales in a last week and installed them. However, it was a total pain in the butt, as the fixed (notched) side of the pivot was wedged tight into one side of the Axis lock (or whatever Hogue’s name is for it) steel framework. It was even harder to reinstall the new scales, and I couldn’t get the axis lock frame seated right. After a little careful Dremel work on the side of the Axis frame that was stuck previously, I was able to to get the pivot seated correctly. I also had to sand down the non-blade facing side of the phosphor bronze washer, as a burr was sticking out and causing it not to sit flush. Anyway, everything is all together now, looks good, and is tuned up pretty well. However, now that all is said and done, I’m finding that this knife just isn’t going to replace my Bugout, which has a very similar size, weight, and of course, locking mechanism.
Condition overall is very good, with only exception being some scratches on the fixed side of the pivot from trying to pry it out originally, and the internals that I mentioned previously. I haven’t carried it or cut anything with it.
I’m asking $160 by PayPal F&F for the Hogue Deka Magnacut with RC Bladework micarta scales. (The knife is $130 new, and scales are $80). The original plastic scales are also included. Shipping from St. Louis by USPS Priority Mail
SOLD Lynch NW All Access Pass v2.7 "Double Wing" Prybar SOLD
I got this excellent prybar in a drop from Casey Lynch back in August. This is the plain stonewashed version of this tool, which is now sold out on the Lynch NW website. I haven’t used it at all, and there are no marks or signs of wear on it.
I’m asking $85 by PayPal F&F for this like-new Lynch NW All Access Pass v2.7 "Double Wing" Prybar. Shipping from St. Louis by USPS Priority Mail.
SOLDIronwood Scales by Suingab for Gayle Bradley 2 SOLD
(including photo of my GB2 with snakewood scales for reference)
I ordered these ironwood scales from Suingab in Lithuania, after my GB2 snakewood scales got kind of messed up with some spray foam insulation I was working with got on them, dried iron-hard, and essentially bonded to the edge of the scales. While waiting for these new desert ironwood scales (Suingab didn’t have any more snakewood blanks), I managed to very carefully remove all the foam crap that had bonded to the snakewood scales, and ended up with only a few minor gouges on the edges. All things considered, the old snakewood scales actually don’t look so bad and kind of match the patina’d and well-used feel of my GB2, so I decided to stay with the original snakewood scales.
I’m askingSOLD $70 by PayPal F&F for these new, previously uninstalled Suingab ironwood scales for the Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2. Shipping from St. Louis by USPS Priority Mail.
SOLDLes George VECP – thumb studs / stonewashed SOLD
The Les George VECP is a great example of a simple thing done very well. The detent is juuust right, and fit, finish, and overall execution are about perfect. I’d keep this, but in my scaled-back collection I’ve got a few many titanium handle knives, and my Slysz Bowie, Sebenza 31 Magnacut, and Demko 20.5 3V aren’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future.
I’ve only carried this Les George VECP a few times, and haven’t cut anything besides paper. Condition is pretty like new. I don’t see any signs of wear or use.
I’m askingSOLD $350 by PayPal F&F (sorry, I entered wrong price on first posting, this one is correct) for this excellent Les George VECP. Comes with pouch that has Les George logo patch velcro-ed on it. Shipping from St. Louis by USPS Priority Mail.
