Les Stroud - Off The Grid

I finally got to watch this entire thing. I really like the fact that he is going off-grid and not "retro" off-grid. He's learning to use modern technology without being "plugged-in". I'd really like to see a follow up documentary to this.
 
Les Stroud is the real deal. I just have one problem... wouldn't his harmonica playing get old??

At least with Bear Grylls, you probably dare him to eat any bug you found... now there is some entertainment value.

I live in the deep south - and went one day without A/C this summer. Somehow, at 60, that sort of thing would be important. How much was that 35kW wind turbine??

Thanks for the link, my brother is really into that alternative energy stuff, he's starting his first year of electrical and i think this would be a great field to get into.
I was just telling him about the show 2 nights ago but couldn't find the link.
