Does anyone know if any of the current strider models can be obtained with steel less than 1/4 thick? Can they be custom ordered in say 1/8 thick? I like the styles but truly can't justify (for me) a knife that thick for the types of things I do as an M.P. Anyone???????:(

Don't worry about trying to justify a Strider, if I was to do that I'd be going boinkers trying to figgure out what my reasons are.

Strider offers a military discount and that does help me afford them. In fact I just ordered a MT mod 10 from Mike at badassknives.com as the Strider bug has been nibbling on me lately. Only problem was justifying the knife to the wife:eek:

Figgure out what blade would be the best for you and just do it (VBG) I'm a SP in the USAF and have found that the more you carry a Strider the more you tend to abuse and misuse the blade.

Gee, I was just going to ask if one can be made in .28" or even .3" thickness.
Personally I don't like thin blades.

Check the strider FAQ from their web page. I think they can accomidate, but it will probably be a while as (I assume) their current production is geared for the afgan conflict.
