So, I built V1 of the sharpening jig. Used around 80g PLC plastic, most of it went into that support structure for the vertical rod. The aluminium profiles were about 5 bucks per meter and I was able to cut them at the hardware store. The base is some flower pot holder and the clamp is off a broken table light.

Now I am looking for cheap stones, need a intermediate grit from that rough file to the spyderco pocket stone.
