The Navy K610 is a poor mans Spyderco Manix liner lock. It is a pretty solid folder for right around $20.

Smith and Wesson SWAT II (I know it's funny, but was my first folder, and for the money has lasted a LONG time)

I had a S&W folder for years it wasn't bad for the money but the first one had quite of bit of blade play. It inevitably got worse and i decided to see what customer service could/would do about it.

They waived their normal $7 shipping/processing fee, took the knife in and mailed me a new one in less than a week. Cost me a few bucks total to ship it to TN.

Second time around, the lock is solid and no play whatsoever. First one was a lemon and after noting the blade wiggle I should have returned it immediately.

But I was impressed, they stood behind their product and made things right. It's not the greatest knife in the world but they did right.

Real Steel, got this one from the German ebay for ~50 bucks. 14C28N steel, 3". Flips really smooth.

I really like my Cold Steel American Lawman and can be had for ~$60 US.

It has the most solid lock-up I've ever seen in a folding knife. The knife is a nice fit in the hand and does great for most smallish cutting tasks that I would use a folder for (admittedly I prefer fixed blades).

The steel (AUS8) is OK though nothing to brag about. It does take a nice edge, but doesn't keep it for long enough IMO. The G10 scales are quite grippy and I've never felt like it was going to slide out of my fingers.
