Let’s see some theater knives

The knife above is so small it that it fit in a sleeve!!!! OSS knife.

April Fools!!! I tried to copy and paste a pic but it turned out too small to look at. Maybe this joke should be relegated to an OFF Broadway location. Pun intended.

One of my favorites is the Middle Eastern Commando knife, aka the Death Head knife. It is associated with the British 50, 51 and 52 commando units which were raised around 1940 and used in and around Egypt during the first half of WWII. The one shown above was the most common, but, they are found with several blade types. My example of the knife repurposed a US Mark I for a blade.

That's very cool!!.....

I like the look of theatre knives, though I don’t have any. I have a few WW2 knives with the ones marked to a person and or place being some of my favourites.

Would like to know where those you quoted above have been or seen action? Any famous battles or units? I have seen many Knives made for US forces, I would like to see ones made for our allies, or even from the Axis powers. I have seen some Australian made and Filipino ones, cannot remember where. I do seem to recall the guy in the Tactical forum has many early Soviet knives.

He.could open his own museum, I shit you not.... Prepare to spend a.few hours looking at that thread though. I've never seen anything like this guy's stuff. Thanks for pointing me to this.
Up to page 80 odd. Very impressive. If I wasn’t seeing it I wouldn’t believe it was possible.
Haven’t seen one of my favourites from the 80’s , Pacific Cutlery Fer de Lance yet .
The Wilkinson Sword Shakespeare knife was nice to see, and in good condition too.
Only 60 pages to go.

How’s it going not2sharp not2sharp . Out of curiosity, what do you think of the Fairbairn-Sykes knife?

It is a nice knife. But, be careful with what you buy. They have been in service for many years and cloned and copied by just about everyone. So if buying an original WWII example is your goal, its buyer beware.

Here are two good references for you.
