That Malibu is one of my very favorite edcs these days! Recently sold my only HobAck due to fear of slicing myself from the blade of the kwaiback being so darn close to the back of the knife when closed, would be willing to give another model a try though! Love the looks of this one!Three of my current favorites. Picked up two of the three on the Exchange, btw. Admittedly, I have a recency bias....

How do you find the clip design and placement? From pics/video I suspect my hand would wish it were 1) not pointy at the end, 2) not placed right along the spine, or 3) both. The Sumo is a lot of fun. Super fidgety knife.
It's not ideal but I don't hate it, either. I can definitely feel the point on the clip but it doesn't hurt. I may eventually get it modded. Knife Modders did a really nice job with one for LeftyEDC (a Youtube guy). I think they only charged him around $30. Same folks did the bark texture on the scales of the Vero in my pic above. How do you find the clip design and placement? Absolutely everything else about the Sumo has been shouting my name for several months.
Thanks! Checking out their work prompted me to compare the clip on the current batch of Sumos (like yours, if I'm not mistaken) vs. the first batch, and I think Hoback might have rounded off the pointy end on the current batch. It's not ideal but I don't hate it, either. -Fixed Blade Version-So many good knives these days not sure there’s still really a “holy trinity” or not. When I first started collecting seriously it was still all about the CRK, Hinderer, Strider trinity. I’d love to see you all pick your favorite of each of those that you own and share a photo of your perfect trinity set. I’ll start
