Amazing! So do you use her regularly now?Okay, okay, don't twist my arm any more.I love telling this story about my 'find'. A few years ago I was wanting a 124 for a user. I searched and searched. I was frequenting gun shows at the time and there were a few vendors that had a good selection of knives so I would look and ask each for a 124. I finally ask and was shown two. One was in nice shape but way over priced. The other was in my price range but had been painted all black. The vendor had taken off the paint around the tang stamp so, I knew I wanted the knife when I saw that it was a two liner. He knew what he had and would not budge off his price. I paid and took my prize home.
I stripped some of the paint off and found that, in order to get the paint to stick on the knife the PO had used sand paper, on every part of the knife. I decided then that this work was above my pay grade and sent the knife to Leroy Remer. Here are a few photos of the knife...
All black...

David it came with an 'original' flap sheath. If I had the plastic sheath, I know I could have a Nemo. It is what it is, and I'm happy as a pig in poop.pj, your 2 liner is a Nemo 122. Glad you got it back looking original. DM
Maybe not, unless you had the plastic sheath.
That is a a 1991 model and has 425m steel. How did you over grind it during sharpening without a decent stone? DMYes sir mine is a newer model with the micarta scales. It just says 124+ made in USA
