let me see ur case pocket worn collection

OH I'm far from an expert, but I've not seen that type of Olive Bone before, so it could be rare and I'm very glad to hear it's user and not a safe idler:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Interesting what you say about the Olive Drab too, I'm a European and not a military member but I always thought the OD uniforms much smarter and more commanding that the more recent camo types!

Thanks, Will

This Case Barlow from 2010 isn't cataloged as Pocketworn, but it sure looks like Pocketworn bone to me. OH

Couple of more I forgot about the other day. Old Red Pocketworn - I like this color, certainly not anything like real Old Red, but a pleasant look anyhow on modern Case products (notice how the Old Red Stockman makes the white paint look pinkish). OH

old hunter that's a very nice one..im with ya..looks like pocket worn bone to me

Thanks Steeltown; in my notes I have the Barlow listed as, "Made in 2010, Antique, Burnt, second cut bone handles." OH

Ps John, thanks (and my notes are correct then!)

Thanks, Cate and Steeltowninwv. The color on the blue lagoon bone is an absolute stand out. The fit and finish is awesome - you can kinda see in the photo - the bolsters are finished to match perfect to the bone cover. They tapered the bolster where there are recesses in the bone. Everything lines up very nicely on this knife.

BTW, Steeltowninwv, I grew up near Wheeling WV. Man, I miss that place. Not to give up your 20, but thought you might know the area.

You're welcome.

I am thinking about getting a CASE knife for my birthday this summer. I mentioned this in another thread here 'somewhere'. Ha!

I have looked online and I will look a bit more in our stores. Our stores do not have the huge knife selections that some of you may have in your states.

Anyway, I LOVE the blue, a blue/green look, and some of the older more classic styles and colors that I have seen posted here in the CASE brand and in other brands.

I want to be able to hold and open the knife before I buy it too. I might not be able to do this though if I want a CASE folding knife for this special birthday though. I might have to hold another CASE in the style that I want and special order the COLOR from one of the fine knife companies that many of you talk about.

Take care!

You can browse the Case catalog here:
http://www.wrcase.com/index_en.php

They have a current run of knives in Petite Blue Lagoon bone. Not sure what the 'Petite' reference is unless it is the jigging pattern, but here they are. They are not part of the "pocket worn" family however.

I don't have any knife stores nearby with a huge selection either. The Internet has dramatically changed retail, especially for niche items like collectible pocket knives. Unless you live near one of the Case super-retailers, or are lucky enough to have a Case Platinum or Master dealer locally, you're kind of stuck buying over the Internet.

To stay on topic, here are some of my Case Pocket Worn knives

Harvest Orange Med Stockman (looks more brown to me):

I have several others in PW Old Red Bone but no pics of them.

If you like it, I will send you the baby butterbean in the photo. You'll get to see the bone and quality. If you like the pattern, you can keep it. If not, gift it to someone else. PM me with your mailing address if you are interested.

JC57 - The "petite" refers to the pattern collection. In the catalog you'll see all the Petite Blue Lagoon are small pattern knives. I have the seen some larger patterns (i.e. trappers) in caribbean blue. But I don't know how it compares to blue lagoon.
