I haven't shot the Northern Lights, yet. I'd sure like to. I don't think my current camera is up to the task.

I had a photo partner from Sweden. I kept asking him all kinds of inane questions about the Northern lights. Finally, he told me that, for Swedes, seeing the Northern lights is like the way seeing the ocean is for me: nice, but an everyday event and no big deal.

I still wanna see it for myself.

the northern lights are still magnificent everytime you see them.. don't care if you're a swede or not.. just like seeing bears or moose
 
Am I up for the record. Don't know; we'll see.

If all eleven of us posted once per minute (which'll never happen), it would still take three hours or so to break the record.
