My girlfriend and I did a little cabin camping this Sun-Tues in beautiful Letchworth State Park. The leaves are really starting to explode with color up here in WNY, and the park was amazing.

Here's a few pics!

After an early morning hike, we returned to the cabin where I cooked breakfast. Eggs to order, breakfast sausage w/onions and sweet peppers. Hot tea and OJ. :) (my Landi PSK was the blade of choice for food prep!)

Spotted some interesting fungi.

My Ontario RAT3 chopped up apples for lunch.

You can see the Middle and Upper falls, as well as the train trestle in this pic.

I found these weird mushrooms. They leaked a sticky black liquid. Anyone know what they are? (Landi PSK for scale)

My 1950's-era Boy Scout hatchet split wood with ease. I started both night's campfires with some osage shavings sent to me by Never Too Sharp. Great stuff!

What a trip! Good food, good weather, great scenery. We both had a blast. If you're thinking about visiting Letchworth, this is the perfect time of year. :)

great pics brother!!!!!!!!!!!!! another fan of landi!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I love that knife. Somehow, it keeps jumping into my hand before most other knives. A tough little workhorse, easy to sharpen and to keep sharp.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Those pictures were amazing! In all of my travels it has always been upstate NY that has been my favorite.:D

Boy John I wish I knew you were down here, we might have been able to get together seeing you were what 10 minutes from me. Great shots and interesting stuff as well. Take care Doug

Great stuff - however - you did post a picture of a plastic knife !!1
