Thanks for all the kind words guys! Sorry I was kinda missing in action there for a bit. BUSY day yesterday. Shipping alone took up about six hours. Nichole gets cranky sitting neck deep in alligators at a desk printing labels instead of doing this:
Finished all the sheaths from that batch, got em matched up with their knives, took pics, wrote descriptions for the in stock ones and finished a pair of charmitas to about 80 percent. Gotta haul a couple horses back and forth to the vet this morning and then start putting those knives on the website and finish those charmitas. They will ship tomorrow, they will ship tomorrow, they will ship tomorrow, (graduation present). Late last night I was informed we were going roping today at 6pm. I said if those charmitas are done and she said well you better get em done cause we're going roping! Charmitas are those leggings she's wearing in the pic above. I will get them done, I will get them done, I will get them done. Roping to do.
Anyhoo. Thanks

Thanks Charlie for the kind words on the pics. I'm pretty sure you are gonna like that California Coyote. I always have lots of shop visitors, neighbors, friends etc stopping by (usually beer in the fridge) and your knife was always commented on. Its one of those thats just right.

Hey buddy good to see ya. Here's the low down. The knife is my California Coyote model, hollow ground and a slicing machine. Approx 6 to 6 1/8" oal with a 2.75" blade (tip to the front of the bolster). All measurements are approx as all blades are hand cut by bandsaw and then ground by eye, no jigs or anything, although I do use a file guide to start the plunges but no CNC or water jetting etc, all hand done. Heat treat is by Peters and they all have been cyro quenched as well and tested at 60 RC. Charlie choose sheephorn on the handle and without a bolster. I always put liners on sheephorn handles and sometimes they can influence the color as the sheephorn often but not always go translucent as ya shape, sand and polish it. So Charlie choose red liners and that what gives the hint of color coming through. I always try to leave as much exterior bark/texture as possible but at the same time I am shooting for symmetry a balancing act for sure with some natural handle materials.
Thanks
